You were meant for so much more

Watched Kung Fu Panda & Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs yesterday and today.

Both movies have the same theme - "You were meant for so much more"

Everyone has a destiny. Often times because of the society, culture, values that have influenced us, we tend to think that the destiny is something small, perhaps don't have, perhaps not important. But it's so untrue.

If you have a dream that is bigger than what you think you can do, that is the destiny that God gives you and believe in yourself and in God to achieve it. There may be times when you fail, but keep going, and it will turn out to be good.

In meritocratical Singapore, success in studies is like the most important thing. And often the poor child is made to think that they can't excel in life because they are categorised as a certain stream or class or subject combi. And to make things worst, exam papers are set to such a high standard that they can't do it.It's so stifling and makes them think that they have no hope. But it's such a Big Fat Lie.

Your Destiny lies not in the results you get now, but what you were meant to be. And You were meant for so much more.

It so ties in with what I've been hearing and learning this week at DTS. Who defines who you are? Is it the world's system that says A is good or is it a Loving and Good God that says "It is very good" upon creation?
